According to the National Statistics Committee, in January–November 2025, a total of 2.7 thousand citizens of Uzbekistan visited Japan for tourism purposes. This figure increased by 16.2 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
During the first 11 months of the year, the breakdown of travel purposes shows that tourism was the predominant purpose, accounting for 2.2 thousand visitors. In addition, 294 people traveled for visiting relatives, 137 people for education, 58 people for official purposes, and 4 people for medical treatment.
At the same time, nearly 30 thousand Japanese citizens visited Uzbekistan for tourism purposes. The number of Japanese tourists increased by 41.1 percent compared to the same period last year.
In terms of travel purposes, tourism accounted for the largest share, totaling 27.6 thousand visitors. Furthermore, 1.5 thousand people visited relatives, 784 people traveled for official purposes, 71 people for education, and 1 person for commercial purposes.
