On December 10-13, 2019, a seminar on "Implementation of the national quality assurance framework for official statistics in Eastern Europe/Central Asia"was held in Belgrade (Republic of Serbia). The seminar was organized by Eurostat.
It was attended by Aziz Gafurov, chief specialist Of the Department of formation of consolidated analytical information on statistics of sustainable development and social sectors of the state statistics Committee, as well as representatives of Eurostat, Statistical office of Serbia and employees of statistical organizations of Armenia, Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Montenegro, Turkey, Ukraine.
The seminar discussed the legal framework in the field of official statistics of the European Union and international standards used in the collection and dissemination of national quality assurance systems for official statistics in Europe and other countries.
Progress made during the year in the study of indicators for achieving the sustainable development Goals in countries was also discussed.At the same time, the experience of other countries in this area was voiced during the seminar.
