In the framework of the “Biennial cooperation agreement between the WHO Regional Office for Europe and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2018-2019,” the study tour of specialists in the field of the use of ICT in healthcare organized by the WHO in Uzbekistan was held on 2-6 December 2019 in Kiev (Ukraine).
The delegation included representatives of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Finance, the National Agency for Project Management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics.
From the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics Shaikhali Abdurakhmanov, a senior specialist from the Division for Statistical Observations in Education, Health, Science and Innovation of the Department of Social Statistics and Sustainable Development, took part in this event.
The main purpose of the visit was to study best practices in the use of international standards for information systems and data management in the healthcare sector, in particular, using the experience of Ukraine.
The study tour allowed acquiring knowledge and practical skills in the use of information systems and data management in healthcare.
