On November 22, 2019, a seminar was held at the Tashkent State Agrarian University by the State Committee on Statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the topic “Statistical indicators of the agricultural, forestry and fisheries of the Republic for the first 9 months, as well as preparations for the census in 2022”.
The event was attended by teachers of the central apparatus of the State Committee on Statistics, the Institute for Advanced Studies and Statistical Studies, faculty and students of Tashkent State Agrarian University.
During the event, information was provided on the main statistical indicators of the development of agriculture, forestry and fisheries of the Republic of Uzbekistan in January-September 2019.
According to statistics, in January-September 2019, the total volume of products (services) of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in the republic amounted to $ 156,667.1 soums Compared to the corresponding period of 2018, the growth rate was 102.4 percent.
It is worth noting that the contribution of dekhkan (personal subsidiary) farms to the production of agricultural products is very large and is presented as the main agricultural producers.
The seminar also provided detailed information on the work done to implement the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Approving the Concept of the Census of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2022”.
Goskomstat effectively collaborates with the UN Population Fund in Uzbekistan and other international organizations on the preparation and conduct of the census.
During the seminar, the leadership and specialists of the State Statistics Committee answered in detail all the questions asked by the participants.
