On 20 November 2019 the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics was visited by staff of the diplomatic mission of the Embassy of France in order to familiarize themselves with preparations for the census of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2022.
The delegation was met by the Deputy Chairman Makhmudjon Ziyadullaev.
The welcoming speech highlighted the current state of affairs and the stages of preparation for the 2022 census, as well as the draft Law on Census, which is being considered by the leadership of the Republic. The French side shared its practical experience in conducting a census in France and expressed its intention to actively assist in the preparation of the census in Uzbekistan.
The parties agreed to closely cooperate in all promising areas.
