On October 24, 2019, the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a seminar on the topic “Diagnostics of economic growth in Uzbekistan: How to create more and better jobs? " The seminar was attended by employees of the central office of the Goskomstat.
At the seminar, the senior economist of the Department of Global Practice for Macroeconomics and Fiscal Management of the World Bank Europe and Central Asia Region, Escender Trushin.
The main purpose of the event is to familiarize the seminar participants with the results of studies on factors negatively affecting economic development in Uzbekistan and ways to overcome them.
During the seminar, the most pressing economic issues were discussed: unemployment, employment and inflation.
There was also an exchange of views on what needs to be taken into account when ensuring economic stability and increasing the share of GDP per capita, as well as their economic significance.
