Between October 3-4 and 2019, the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe organizes an Expert Forum for producers and users of climate change statistics in Geneva, Switzerland.
The forum was attended by Abdujalil Kadirov, Deputy Head of the Department of Statistical Observations of Agricultural Producers' Activities of Agricultural Producers of the Statistics Department of Agriculture and Ecology of the Goskomstat
The Steering Group includes Luxembourg (Chair), Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, the Netherlands, the Russian Federation, Sweden and the European Environment Agency (EEA), Eurostat, FAO, the International Energy Agency (IEA), Midsummer Analytics and the Organization's Framework Convention Secretariat United Nations Climate Change (UNFCCC).
The event was attended by representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland , Moldova, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
The main objective of the Forum of Experts was to provide users and producers of climate-related statistics with a platform for exchanging experience in the development of official statistics and building capacity for reporting on climate change.
