From July 29 to August 2, 2019, the World Bank economist William Seitz conducted a seminar-training on improving the household sample surveys in the State committee on statistics.
The main aim of the seminar- training was improving the data on household sample surveys in Uzbekistan and in addition to it, the ways of increasing the number of observed households were discussed.
Within the framework of this seminar there was a discussion of issues related to the development of new questionnaires for conducting the household sample surveys. In addition to it, there was a discussion on the methodology for calculating the low-income population.
The practical recommendations on conducting the household sample surveys sample taking into account the international practice were given in the presentation, the comparative analysis was conducted with other surveys in Central Asia. The improved example of questionnaires on the household survey was reviewed.
