To assess the status of children and women in Uzbekistan at international level, on July 24, 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted Resolution No. 625 “On conducting a Multi Indicator Cluster Survey in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2020-2021” (http://www.lex.uz/docs /4441113).
In accordance with the above decision, the State Committee of the Republic
of Uzbekistan on Statistics determined by the authorized body for conducting the survey.
The Multi Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) is an international household survey program developed by UNICEF. The MICS survey is conducted to collect key indicators that are used to assess the situation of children and women. The survey results will be used by international organizations, as well as for monitoring the achievement of national Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
