July 25-26, an extended Collegiate meeting of the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held on the results of the first half of 2019. The meeting discussed the work done in the state statistical bodies to improve the National Statistical System in the first half of 2019 and further priorities for the implementation of the tasks outlined in the documents and tasks of the President and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Also, in accordance with the agenda, the effectiveness of measures implemented by state statistics on the implementation of established tasks was discussed by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-4273 dated April 9, 2019 “On additional measures to ensure the openness and transparency of government, as well as increase the statistical potential of the country”.
Also, the agenda of the meeting included questions on the unconditional fulfillment of the tasks established in Presidential Decree No. DP-5729 of May 27, 2019 “On Measures for Further Improving the Anti-Corruption System in the Republic of Uzbekistan” and the results of measures taken by state statistical bodies to further strengthening executive discipline, as well as cooperation with statistical agencies of foreign countries, financial and economic organizations and the provision of statistical information to this organizations during the first half of 2019.
During the extended meeting, issues of executive discipline, organizational issues were considered and appropriate decisions were made based on the results.
Issues on the timely and high-quality execution of tasks included in the program а the Collegiate for the second half of 2019 were discussed.
