On 8-10 July 2019 the Multidimensional Child Poverty Measurement Workshop was held in Florence (Italy) in the UNICEF research office-Innocenti
Umid Madaminov, the deputy head of the Department of Living Standards Statistics and Population Surveys, the head of the Division for the Formation and Analysis of the Indicators of Standard of Living from Goskomstat took part in this event.
This workshop was attended by experts of statistical agencies from 5 countries (Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, and Belarus). The main objective of the workshop was to discuss and further implement harmonized questionnaires developed on the basis of the studied experience of the countries of Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia, which are necessary to calculate or measure indicators of child poverty and inequality for monitoring the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and to familiarize the participants with experience of individual countries.
