The training course was organized for statistics staff by the European Free Trade Association together with the Statistical Office of Iceland in Kiev, Ukraine on June 3-5 this year. The representatives of the State Statistical Service of Ukraine, as well as representatives of the statistical bodies of the CIS countries participated in the training course. The head of the Department of Information Security Sh. Djanadilov and the head of Division of Complex Statistical Observations M. Satimov participated from the State Сommittee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on statistics.
In this regard, a roundtable talk was held in the State Сommittee on statistics on June 21 this year in order to bring to the staff of the statistical system the knowledge and experience gained in the course.
The R program and its role in the use and preparation of information, analysis and processing in the statistical system were discussed during the round table talk. As well as the introduction of the R programming language and the GSBPM model, use of the R programming language in creating, processing, analysis and quality control of the necessary outgoing statistical information for user, the necessary information about capabilities and functions of the R package on creating the official statistical information was given.
The round table talk as a whole was directed at rendering the practical assistance on how, using the R programming language, to carry out processing, analysis and preparation of reports on the collected information array on the basis of a sample survey for placement on the web site.
During the talk, the explanations were given to the staff of the committee on issues they were interested in.
