From April 23 to April 25, 2019, the 6th meeting of the Expert Group on Disaster-related Statistics in Asia and the Pacific: Progressing Disaster-related Statistics for SDGs 1, 11, and 13, was held at the UN Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand. The meeting was organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
Hurriyat Khudoykulova, leading expert of the Department of Social and Sustainable Development Statistics participated in the meeting.
Also, representatives of national statistical services of the following countries took part in the meeting: Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Fiji, Vanuatu, Samoa, Turkey, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Iran, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, China and Uzbekistan , as well as experts and experts from international organizations UN ESCAP, ESCAP-APDIM, UNISDR, UN Environment, UN Women, CIMA Research Foundation, AIT, UNFPA, GCDS, UNECE, ADPC.
The meeting addressed issues related to Disaster-related Statistics in Asia and the Pacific: Progressing Disaster-related Statistics for SDGs 1, 11, and 13.
