A round table was held on the theme “System of National Statistics: Theory and Practice”

On March 18, 2019 at 10:00 a round table was held at Bukhara State University on the theme “System of national statistics: theory and practice”.

The event was attended by employees of the State Committee on statistics, the statistics department of the Bukhara region, teachers and students of Bukhara State University, and representatives of the media.

As noted at the round table, the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev dated July 31, 2017 “On measures to improve the activities of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics” is the basis for improving the activities of the statistics sphere and raising it to a new level, storage and processing of statistical information, as well as its wide distribution in the media, on local TV channels and through the Internet.

Also, in today's “Information Age”, special attention is paid to ensuring maximum transparency and openness of statistical information, reflecting the results of the development of our country in international statistical collections and various ratings. Based on this, relations are being strengthened and cooperation is being established with leading international statistical, economic and financial organizations.

It was noted that the Office of Statistics of the Bukhara region developed a comprehensive program of activities, a control plan and an action plan for the implementation of each item of tasks. In order to ensure maximum transparency of statistical information, the composition of the indicators disseminated has been revised and expanded. The official website of the management is constantly updated with analytical information, newsletters, reports and press releases. And also, the responsible staff of the State Committee on Statistics and the Statistics Department of the Bukhara region provided detailed answers to other questions of interest to the participants of the event.
