From November 13 to November 15, 2018, a meeting on civil registration and vital statistics in the Asia-Pacific region was held in Bangkok (Thailand). The meeting was organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
The meeting from the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics was attended by the Deputy Head of the Department of Statistics of Demography and Labor, the Head of the Department for the Formation and Analysis of Indicators of the Balance of Labor Resources, Employment and Wages Z. Yuldashev. Also, representatives of the civil registration office and national statistical services of the following countries took part in the meeting: USA, Armenia, Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, Pakistan, Georgia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Cambodia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Iran, Timor Leste, Fiji, Cook Islands, Malaysia, South Korea, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as experts and experts from international organizations ESCAP, UNICEF.
The meeting addressed issues related to the harmonization of processes, templates and guidelines for the preparation of the 2020 Ministerial Conference on the review of civil registration and vital statistics in the Asia-Pacific region.
