On October 26, 2018, a seminar on the topic “Corruption - a threat to national security” was organized in the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics in order to prevent abuse of official powers by managers and employees of the system, to deepen knowledge of the content and significance of regulatory acts, and to ensure strict compliance with the requirements of existing legislation, as well as preventing and combating corruption.
Representatives of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National Association of Non-State Non-Profit Organizations of Uzbekistan, senior officials of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics and the Center for Personnel Retraining attended the seminar.
The seminar emphasized that the departmental committee of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics on Combating Corruption established control over ensuring the implementation of established tasks in the “Plan of comprehensive measures of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics on preventing and combating corruption in state statistics bodies in the period 2017-2018” dated February 21, 2017, which was adopted in order to ensure the implementation of certain tasks in the State Program on Countering Corruption for 2017-2018. approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to implement the provisions of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan" On Combating Corruption "dated February 2, 2017 №. PP-2752.
During the seminar, the participants were familiarized with the results of the activities carried out by the departmental committee of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics to combat corruption.
At the end of the seminar, it was noted that measures had been identified to further strengthen the work on countering corruption in the organs of the system.
