On 11 June 2020, the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the additional meeting of the expert group on coordination of the draft Life Quality Standards in the format of video conferencing, which was held by the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk.
Memo: The life quality standard is a high standard supported by the CIS member states that ensures the satisfaction of the population’s needs in accordance with the economic capabilities of the CIS countries.
The meeting of the expert group was attended by representatives and experts from interested ministries and departments of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as employees of the CIS Executive Committee.
During the meeting, the proposals of the CIS member states, which were received as a result of the intra-state approval of the draft Life Quality Standards according to the List of Statistical Indicators of the General Welfare of People and Living Conditions, were discussed.
Representatives of the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Ecology and Environmental Protection, the Hydrometeorological Service under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan took part from the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Based on the results of the meeting, an agreed position of the CIS member states on the comments and suggestions to the draft Life Quality Standards was developed. The revised draft will be reviewed by the CIS Economic Council.
