On August 27 of this year, a webinar was held at the State Committee on Statistics to clarify the essence and content of the decree of the head of state “On measures to further improve and develop the National System of Statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan” regarding the improvement of demography and labor statistics.
The event was attended by employees of the Department of Demography and Labor Statistics of Goskomstat and employees of territorial departments of statistics.
The webinar included a Q&A session on demography and labor statistics. Employees of the department of statistics of demography and labor of territorial statistical offices, in the process of answering the questions, spoke in detail about the demographic situation in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the number of resident population, the distribution of the population by region, the number of births by region and the birth rate.
Employees of the Central Office of Goskomstat provided additional information on the industry and made recommendations for calculating industry indicators, as well as improving statistics on demography and labor.
At the end of the event, the advantages and disadvantages in the field were discussed, recommendations were given to increase productivity in the process.
