8 September at the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on statistics organized a seminar on the content and execution of the presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures for further improvement and development of the National statistical system of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and holding in 2022 of census.

The event was attended by the management of the state statistics Committee, specialists Of the Department for the organization and conduct of census processes and employees of territorial statistical offices.

Chairman of the state statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Begalov Bahodir Abdusalomovich spoke in detail about the process of preparing for the population census in 2022.

Such urgent tasks as preparation of methodological manuals and normative documents on the population census, development of draft questionnaires, determination of the necessary organizational plans for conducting the census, preparation for the population census in the regions are identified.

The seminar also exchanged views on improving the efficiency of work on ensuring transparency, transparency and accessibility of statistical data, and promoting the formation of up-to-date, high-quality and reliable statistics by Goskomstat.

During the event, important issues related to the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On population census” were also discussed.

Also, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for social statistics Makhmudjon Djurakulovich Ziyadullayev provided suggestions and recommendations for improving the activities of the new departments responsible for organizing and conducting census processes in the territorial departments of the state statistics Committee.

During the webinar, work on the implementation of tasks defined in all normative legal acts related to the population census was discussed, as well as priority tasks were identified.
