On September 7, 2020, a webinar was held at the State Statistics Committee to clarify the essence and content of the decree of the head of state "On measures to further improve and develop the National System of Statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan" regarding the improvement of statistics of macroeconomic indicators and national accounts.
The event was attended by employees of the Department of Macroeconomic Indicators and National Accounts of the State Statistics Committee and employees of territorial departments of statistics.
At the event, an exchange of views took place on the implementation into practice of the national strategy for the development of statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020-2025, as well as issues of providing users with statistical data at a high level.
There was also a webinar in the form of questions and answers related to the field of SNA. Answering questions, the staff of regional statistical offices separately focused on the calculation of gross domestic (regional) product, growth rates and deflator. In addition, the dialogue was based on the basic concepts and rules of national accounts and their implementation in the practice of national statistics.
At the end of the webinar, achievements and shortcomings in this area are discussed, as well as suggestions and recommendations for increasing productivity in the process.
