As of April 1, 2023, the permanent population of the Bukhara region was 2,016.6 thousand people.

In January-February 2023, Uzbekistan exported 9,000 tons of knitwear worth $42 million to 14 foreign countries.

In the context of regions, the leading positions in terms of the number of apartments (houses) are occupied by Fergana (800.8 thousand units, or 11.0% of the total in the country), Samarkand (788.3 thousand units, or 10.8%) , Tashkent (707.7 thousand units, or 9.7%) regions and the city of Tashkent (624.7 thousand units, or 9.9%).

At the end of 2022, the gross value added in agriculture, forestry and fisheries in the Namangan region amounted to 16,055.1 billion soums and, compared to 2021, increased by 4.2%. In the period under review, the share of this sector in GRP amounted to 40.3%.

In January-December 2022, all categories of farms in the Bukhara region produced 284.9 thousand tons of meat in live weight (102.3% compared to January-December 2021), 1,053.3 thousand tons of milk (103.2%), 519.7 mln. eggs (108.8%), 9,822 tons of fish were caught (90.3%).

In the Republic of Uzbekistan, in January-February 2023, large enterprises produced 81.2 thousand units of electric heaters, which is 40.4% more than in the same period in 2022.

As of April 1 of this year, 47,378 family enterprises operate in our republic.

In 2022, in the Samarkand region, the share of small businesses was recorded in cargo transportation - 89.1%, cargo turnover - 88.9%, passenger transportation - 95.6%, passenger turnover - 98.1%.

In January-February 2023, in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, 606.1 billion soums, construction work was carried out by enterprises and organizations of non-state ownership.

In January-December 2022, in the Andijan region, only 7,132.2 billion soums of investment in fixed assets were disbursed in the manufacturing industry, and their share in the total investment amounted to 48.3%.

As of January 1, 2023, the number of teachers in the schools of the city of Tashkent amounted to 27,786 people.

On December 6, 2022, a meeting was held at Statistics Agency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with representatives of the World Bank as part of the project “Strengthening the statistical system in Uzbekistan”.

In January-February 2023, large enterprises produced 181.0 tons of chocolate in the Republic of Uzbekistan, which is 2.3 times more than in the same period in 2022.

As of January 1, 2023, the number of apartments (including individual houses) in the country amounted to 7,301.2 thousand units, an increase of 154.0 thousand units, or 2.2%, compared to last year (7,147.2 thousand units).

At the end of 2022, the gross value added in industry in the Jizzakh region amounted to 3,473.8 billion soums and, compared to 2021, increased by 7.8 %.

In January-December 2022, all categories of farms in the Andijan region produced 185.6 thousand tons of meat in live weight (104.9% compared to January-December 2021), 1,038.0 thousand tons of milk (104.1%), 748.9 mln. eggs (101.6%), 21,939 tons of fish were caught (108.7%).

As of April 1, 2023, the total number of operating enterprises and organizations (excluding farms and dekhkan farms) is 483,554 units, of which the number of private enterprises is 69,897 units, which is 14.5%.
