With the participation of the staff of the Department of Organization and Conduct of Census Processes of the Department of Statistics of the Fergana Region, regional television, as well as activists of the “Shodiyona” makhalla of the city of Fergana, a press tour was organized on the implementation of decree No. 710 “On measures for the preparation and conduct of the population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023 year”.
It was noted that a population census is a nationwide event that allows one to obtain a “photograph” of the country's population at a certain point in time and to become a reliable source of information about the population.
The population census will help to obtain detailed information on the population of Uzbekistan in a certain period, its age, sex, religious and ethnic composition, marital status, education level, housing provision, economic activity, sources of income. It will also be used to calculate the distribution of macroeconomic indicators per capita and labor resources, as well as the migration situation.
