According to preliminary data, in January - June 2021, 22.7 thousand tons of cocoon raw materials were procured in the republic, which is 112.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2020.
The highest share in the total volume of cocoon raw materials procured in the Republic fell on the Samarkand region (13.0%), and high rates were also noted in the Andijan region (12.8%), Bukhara region (10.5%), Kashkadarya region ( 9.4%) and Fergana region (9.3%). The lowest share was observed in the Syrdarya region (2.7%) and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (3.3%).
