In January-June 2021, the gross value added (GVA) in industry in the Surkhandarya region amounted to 837.0 billion soums and, compared to the same period last year, increased by 5.6%. In the period under review, the share of this sector in GRP amounted to 6.3% and, compared to January-June 2017, increased by 1.9 percentage points.
