As of January 1, 2020, the number of subscribers connected to the Internet amounted to 16 386,2 thousand. Compared to the corresponding period of 2019, this number increased by 23.0% or 3 064,5 thousand. In particular, there are 15 750,8 thousand subscribers among the population, which is 22.3% or 2 867,5 thousand higher than last year.
Compared to other regions, the largest number of subscribers connected to the Internet was noted in the city of Tashkent – 3 550,6 thousand, and the smallest - in the Syrdarya region – 441,4 thousand.
