In the republic in January-May 2022, the number of newly created business entities in the industrial sector amounted to 7 584.

In January-May 2022, in the Republic of Uzbekistan, small enterprises and microfirms completed construction work on new construction for 14946.0 billion soums, or 49.4% of their total volume.

In January - May 2022, 41,217 new business entities were created in the republic.

At the end of 2021, the number of legal entities engaged in car washing, car polishing and similar activities amounted to 1,294. This figure increased by 42 compared to 2020.

According to the results of a sample observation of small enterprises and micro-firms conducted in the first quarter of 2022, the largest share of enterprises that assessed the improvement in the competitive environment in the current period compared to the same period last year is represented in the field of accommodation and food services - 43.1%, in 41.2% in healthcare and social services, 41.0% in trade, 43.1% in industry, and 37.4% in the sphere.

   The volume of industrial production in January-March 2022 amounted to 5454.5 billion soums in special economic zones, 947.9 billion soums in small industrial zones, 111.0 billion soums in technology parks and 7364.0 billion soums in clusters.

In the structure of the total volume of construction work performed by large construction organizations in the Republic of Uzbekistan in January-May 2022, due to new construction, reconstruction, expansion, technical re-equipment, work was completed in the amount of 9277.5 billion soums, or 30.7% of the total completed construction work on new construction.

In January-March 2022, 2765.7 billion soums of investment in fixed assets were disbursed in the Namangan region. At the expense of attracted funds, 95.1% of investments in fixed capital, mastered in this territory, were financed, at the expense of own funds of enterprises, organizations and the population - 4.9% of investments.

In January-May 2022, a significant part of the work in the Republic of Uzbekistan was completed on the construction of new buildings and structures, reconstruction, expansion and technical re-equipment. Thus, 66.2 % of the total construction work, or 30243.0 billion soums, were directed to the creation of new production facilities in the economy, housing and communal services and other social facilities.

In Navoi region in January-March 2022, the share of investments financed from non-centralized sources of financing in the total investment in fixed assets amounted to 98.0%, or 3388.9 billion soums.
