As of November 1, 2021, the number of small businesses operating in the republic with the participation of foreign capital, compared to the corresponding period of 2016, increased 2.7 times, and we see that their number in terms of years is as follows.

   According to the results of January-September 2021, the GRP of the Bukhara region increased by 6.8%. In the GRP structure, the growth rates of agriculture, forestry and fisheries amounted to 105.4%, construction - 108.9%, services - 112.3% and net taxes on products - 107.2%. In the industry, there was a decrease in volume in comparable prices, which amounted to 99.7% compared to the level of January-September 2020.

In the regional context, the largest volume of services was recorded in January-October 2021 in Tashkent (29981.1 billion soums), Tashkent (10753.4 billion soums), Fergana (8914.9 billion soums), Samarkand (8831.2 billion soums), Andijan (6926.3 billion soums), Kashkadarya (6606.4 billion soums) and Bukhara (5972.4 billion soums) regions.

In the Khorezm region, income from transfers, consisting of social transfers and other current transfers, is of no small importance in the structure of the population's income.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2020 No. 710, from November 1 to 25, 2021, in the Khojaabad district of the Andijan region, the Yukori Chirchik district of the Tashkent region, the city of Khiva, the Khorezm region and the Yashnabad district of the city of Tashkent, it is planned to conduct a pilot census.

Within the framework of the Seventeenth Session of the Governing Council of the Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific (SIAP), from November 30 to December 1, 2021, a Management Seminar was held for heads of National Statistical Offices in the Asia-Pacific region on the theme “Transforming Institutions is Transforming People”.

In January-September 2021, investments in fixed assets financed from the own funds of enterprises and organizations amounted to 2709.8 billion soums, or 25.0% of the total investment in fixed assets. At the expense of the population, 12.4% of the total investment in fixed assets, or 1348.6 billion soums, was spent.

In the Republic of Uzbekistan, in January - October 2021, clothing enterprises produced goods worth 10.7 trillion. soums. The index of the physical volume of the network compared to January - October 2020 amounted to 122.3%.

In January-October 2021, the share of telecommunications services in the Kashkadarya region in the total volume of communications and information services is the highest - 95.3%. This indicator is insignificant in the city of Tashkent - 56.7%.

The volume of construction work performed by small enterprises and microfirms in comparison with other organizations decreased in January-October 2021, their share amounted to 51.3% of the total volume, which is 0.8% more if compared with the same period last year. Thus, the volume of construction work performed by them amounted to 2675.2 billion soums and, in relation to January-October 2020, the growth rate reached 100.1%.

In January-September 2021, the GRP of the City of Tashkent increased by 14.1 %. In the GRP structure, the growth rates of industry amounted to 113.8 %, construction - 123.4 %, services - 112.7 %, and net taxes on products - 114.7 %.

In the regional context, the largest volume of construction work performed was recorded in Tashkent (12,140.4 billion soums), Tashkent (4892.4 billion soums), Samarkand (4498.2 billion soums), Fergana (4358.8 billion soums) ), Bukhara (4046.5 billion soums), Andijan (3868.9 billion soums) and Namangan (3749.7 billion soums) regions.

In November 2021, consumer goods and services rose in price by an average of 1.2 %.

According to the results of The state committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on statistics observations at public catering enterprises (Plov Center) in the central regions of the country, the following average plov prices were recorded:

In November 2021, goods and services in the consumer market increased on average by 1.2%. Since the beginning of this year, the increase in prices in the consumer sector amounted to 8.6%, in annual terms it reached 10.3%.

On November 29-30, 2021, in the Tashkent region, Modern Journalism Development Center, together with the School of Data (the Republic of Kyrgyzstan) and the State Committee on Statistics, organized a seminar as part of a project to promote Data-journalism – data based journalism in Uzbekistan.

     On November 29 of the current year, a technical assistance mission on price statistics started its work in online mode at the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics. This mission will be conducted by Mr. Ronan Lyons, IMF’s short-term expert on price statistics.
