On June 9 this year, a videoconference seminar was held at the State Committee on Statistics on the topic “Strategy for achieving gender equality - essence and content”.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2020 No. 710, from November 1 to 25, 2021, in the Khojaabad district of the Andijan region, the Yukori Chirchik district of the Tashkent region, the city of Khiva, the Khorezm region and the Yashnabad district of the city of Tashkent, it is planned to conduct a population census in a trial mode.

As we reported earlier, the Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) began on April 5 this year.

Dialogue with the people, organization of work, study of problems on the ground and search for their solutions on the basis of a new system developed at the initiative of the Head of State Shavkat Mirziyoyev - "Mahallabay" and "Fuqarobay", serve, first of all, to improve the well-being of the population.

According to the State Committee on Statistics, in the first 4 months of 2021, Uzbekistan exported air conditioners to 8 foreign countries in the amount of US $ 3.6 million.

As we reported earlier, the Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) began on April 5 this year.

In January-March 2021, 26,812 small enterprises and microfirms were created. In particular, the largest number of newly created small enterprises and microfirms falls on City of Tashkent - 4502 units or 16.8% of the total, Kashkadarya region - 3050 units. Or 11.4 % and the Samarkand region - 2412 units or 9.0%, respectively.

In our country, special attention is paid to promoting a healthy lifestyle among the population, attracting employees of state and public organizations, as well as all citizens to mass sports.

Road transport also plays a significant role in the transportation of goods and passengers.

From 2 to 10 June 2021, a meeting of the expert group on the consumer price index (CPI), organized by the Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the International Labor Organization (ILO), will take place.

According to the State Committee on Statistics, the regions that exported cucumbers to foreign countries in January - April 2021:

This webinar is part of the CESRIC webinar series for the exchange of statistical experience in the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The Goskomstat was represented by Abdugafur Mirzokhidov, Head of the Service Sector Statistics Department and employees of the Department of Comprehensive Statistical Observations in the Service Sector, Transport and Information Infrastructure and the Department for the Formation of Summary Analytical Information and Indicators of Service Sector Development Programs.

During the event, the participants were presented with presentations on topics such as statistics of vehicles, road accidents, road vehicles - statistics of mileage, as well as transport statistics in achieving the SDGs.

The workshop participants noted that statistics on transport components, especially motor vehicles, traffic intensity and safety, including road accidents, are critical for countries to design and develop effective transport systems and infrastructures within a coherent and comprehensive policy framework.

Participation in the seminar will improve the methodology for collecting statistical information on transport and will serve to achieve the goals set by the roadmap for the implementation of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics for 2020-2025.
