On February 16 this year, the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a regular meeting with the head of the representative office of the International Organization for Migration in Uzbekistan.

As of February 1, 2023, there are 15,481 enterprises and organizations with foreign capital operating in the republic. Their number increased by 2,088 compared to the corresponding period last year, with the following countries accounting for the largest number:

In January-December 2022, high growth rates were observed in Surkhandarya (128.2%), Tashkent (128.0%), Andijan and Namangan (127.5%) regions.

 At the end of 2022, the GRP of the Tashkent region amounted to 93,433.1 billion soums with an increase of 5.1%.

On February 13-15, 2023, the Agency for External Labor Migration under the Ministry for Poverty Reduction and Employment of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Representative Office of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a seminar on the topic “Labor Migration Program in Central Asia”.

According to preliminary data, as of January 1, 2023, the number of sheep and goats in all categories of farms in the republic reached 23.6 million heads and increased by 2.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2022.

In total, in the Republic of Uzbekistan in January-December 2022, large enterprises produced 920.1 thousand lead batteries, the growth rate for this production by the corresponding period of 2021 amounted to 121.1%.

In January 2023, the prices of computers, laptops and tablets increased by 0.1% in a month. At the same time, in January of this year, the annual growth rate was 1.1% lower than the corresponding indicator for January 2022.

The volume of industrial production of small businesses in January-December 2022 amounted to 142611.7 billion soums.

In January - December 2022, 35.0 trillion. soums of investments in fixed assets, of which, the volume of investments aimed at construction and installation works amounted to 14.6 trillion. soums, and their share reached 41.7% of the total investment in the region.

At the beginning of the 2022/23 academic year, the total number of students in 191 higher educational institutions of the republic amounted to 1,040.4 thousand people.

In total, construction work worth 8.8 trillion soums was completed in Samarkand region in January-December 2022. soum, and the growth rate, compared to 2021, amounted to 110.1%.

In January-December 2022, the total per capita income of the Fergana region amounted to 13.6 million soums, and the real growth rate was 107.9%.

The volume of market services provided by small businesses in January-December 2022 was equal to 173.2 trillion. UZS, and its share in the total volume of market services amounted to 48.4%.

In January - December 2022, Uzbekistan exported 318.8 thousand tons of grapes abroad in the amount of 280.1 million US dollars.

At the end of 2022, the volume of gross regional product per capita of the Navoi region amounted to 63 832.1 thousand soums and, compared to 2021, increased by 3.4%. Compared to 2018, this figure was 118.0%.

According to preliminary data, as of January 1, 2023, the number of birds in all categories of farms in the republic reached 97.3 million heads and increased by 5.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2022.

In the Republic of Uzbekistan in January-December 2022, large enterprises produced 55.5 thousand tons of knitted fabrics, the growth rate for this production by the corresponding period of 2021 amounted to 130.1%.
