The Department of the Population Census of the city of Khiva organized an event for the implementation of Resolution No. 710 “On measures for the preparation and conduct of the population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023”.
The event was attended by specialists from the Statistics Department of the Khorezm region, the statistics department of the city of Khiva, the city department of mahalla and family support, as well as the city cadastral agency.
It should be noted that a population census is a nationwide event that allows you to get a “photograph” of the country's population at a certain point in time and become a reliable source of information about the population.
As noted at the event, the population census will help to obtain detailed information on the population of Uzbekistan in a certain period, its age, sex, religious and ethnic composition, marital status, education level, housing provision, economic activity, sources of income.
It will also be used to calculate the distribution of macroeconomic indicators per capita and labor resources, as well as the migration situation.
