According to the National Statistics Committee, as of September 1, 2026, 65.3 thousand industrial enterprises operate in Uzbekistan.
They are distributed by main types of economic activity as follows:
food production - 13.2 thousand (20.2%);
production of other non-metallic mineral products - 9.2 thousand units (14%);
clothing production - 6.7 thousand units (10.3%);
production of finished metal products - 5.4 thousand units (8.2%);
furniture production - 4.5 thousand units (6.9%);
production of textile products - 4 thousand (6.1%);
production of rubber and plastic products - 3 thousand (4.6%).
