On September 29, 2021, a regular seminar was held at the State Statistics Committee on the topic "Implementation of advanced quality management systems" in the activities of state statistics bodies. The presentation was conducted by the head of the Department of Organization and Methodology of Statistical Work Zakirov Dilshod Tairovich. It was attended by the heads of all sectoral departments and departments of the central office of Goskomstat, as well as employees of regional departments of statistics online.
During the seminar, the issues of introducing advanced quality management systems in the activities of state statistics bodies were discussed, as part of the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 3, 2020 "On measures to further improve and develop the national system of statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan" PP-4796.
In particular, the UN Manual on National Basic Principles for Quality Assurance of Official Statistics (NQAF), General Statistical Information Model (GSIM), Statistical Information Production Model Model (GSBPM) and Statistical Organization Standard Model (GAMSO).
Also, the requirements of each model and their relationship were analyzed, the practice of the national statistical offices of other countries was studied, and the subsequent actions for the full implementation of these models into practice were agreed.
For reference: On August 3, 2020, the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to further improve and develop the national system of statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan" PP-4796 was adopted. The decree approved the "National Strategy for the Development of Statistics for 2020-2025" and the "Road Map" for its implementation. As a result of the implementation of the tasks set in the Strategy, it is envisaged to create a modern and advanced national statistical system and establish its effective functioning.
