Information technologies, the level of their development and application in practice, as well as the telecommunication infrastructure supporting them, are becoming the most important factor in economic progress.
It was noted that in January - August 2021, the volume of communication and information services amounted to 10 395.6 billion soums. The share of provided market services in the total volume amounted to 6.0 %, compared to January - August 2020, the growth rate of this type of services reached 120.5 %.
High growth rates of services in the field of communications and informatization in January-August 2021 were noted in Tashkent (131.8 %), Syrdarya (126.8 %), Surkhandarya (120.8 %), Khorezm (120.3 %) and Kashkadarya (120.0 %) regions, as well as in the City of Tashkent (122.5 %).
