As of July 1, 2021, in all categories of farms in the Samarkand region, the total number of cattle amounted to 1,567.0 thousand heads (101.6% compared to July 1, 2020), of which 671.1 thousand cows (100.3%), sheep and goats - 2,377.1 thousand heads (102.1%), horses - 26.4 thousand heads (102.1%) and birds - 10 598.3 thousand heads ( 98.7%).
