At the end of January-June 2021, gross value added (GVA) in the industry in the Samarkand region amounted to 3 185.0 billion soums and, compared to the same period last year, increased by 8.1%.
In the period under review, the share of this sector in GRP reached 15.5% and, compared to January-June 2020, increased by 0.1 percentage points, and compared to with the corresponding period of 2017 by 2.5 percentage points.
