On October 8 of the current year, in order to train the national personnel and study the foreign experience in the process of accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), as well as in the framework of assistance from the European Union to the process of Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO, an online seminar was organized on the theme “Conditions and consequences of accession to the WTO: Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan”.
This online seminar was conducted by Sergey Kiselev, an international trade and agriculture specialist at the World Trade Organization.
Batir Irgashev, head of the Department of Foreign Economic Activity and Trade Statistics, took part in the seminar on behalf of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics.
During the event, the participants were presented the experience of foreign states in the process of their accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), as well as the conditions and consequences of accession to the WTO.
