According to the data of sample surveys of households by the State Committee on Statistics, as of January-September 2021, the average number of household members in Surkhandarya region was 5.6 people. At the same time, the structure of households by the number of its members is: 0.4% of single-person households, 3.7% of two-person households, 8.9% of three-person households, 15.9% of four-person households, 25.8% households - of five people, and 45.3% of households consist of six or more people.
