At the end of 2020, in the republic, the volume of emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere from polluting stationary sources amounted to 924.4 thousand tons.
Analyzing this indicator in the context of regions, it should be noted that a significant share belongs to the Tashkent region - 46.5% and Kashkadarya -13.9% regions, while a low specific weight was traced in Jizzakh - 0.4%, Surkhandarya - 0.7% and Khorezm - 0.7% regions.
