According to preliminary data from sample surveys of households by the State Committee on Statistics, as of January-September 2021, the structure of households in the Samarkand region by the number of children is:
83.1 % of households have children under the age of 16, of which 20.9 % have one child, 28.9 % have two children, 23.5 % have three children and 9.8 % have four or more children.
According to sample surveys, 16.9% of households do not have children under 16 years of age.
