According to preliminary data from sample surveys of households by the State Statistics Committee, as of January-September 2021, the structure of households in the Surkhandarya region by the number of children is:
80.1% of households have children under the age of 16, of which 21.6% have one child, 27.1% have two children, 18.5% have three children, and 12.9% have four or more children.
According to sample surveys, 19.9% of households do not have children under 16 years of age.
