On January 20, 2022, at 15:00, a press conference was held at the National Press Center on the topic “Introduction of modern information and communication technologies into the activities of the State Committee on Statistics”.
The event was attended by the leadership of the State Statistics Committee, heads of departments of the central office, representatives of the Institute for Advanced Training and Statistical Research, as well as media workers, journalists, bloggers.
As noted at the press conference, in recent years our country has been carrying out systematic work to develop the National Statistical Sphere. In particular, special attention is paid to the introduction of advanced ICT in the field of statistics, automation and digitization of statistical processes.
Specialists of the State Statistics Committee have created an automated information system for online acceptance of statistical reporting eStat 4.0, and since March 2021, acceptance of 120 types of statistical reporting has been established.

In order to introduce into the practice of conducting selective statistical observations using tablets:
– Information system "Selective statistical observations of prices";
– Information system "Selective statistical observation of individuals providing services to the population";
– Information system "Selective statistical observation of the transportation activities of owners of personal vehicles";
– Information system "Selective statistical observation of persons engaged in production activities";
– Information system "Selective statistical observations of the activities of the dekhkan farm";
– The information system “Selective Statistical Observation of Individuals Selling Agricultural Products” was created and launched in all regions of the republic. These systems are also duly registered with the Intellectual Property Agency.

As a result of the implementation of the projects, the time spent on processing and collecting data was reduced by 10 times, as well as the cost of data security and transportation costs.
Departmental and thematic websites of the State Statistics Committee have been improved to provide statistical data to users.
Including:
- in order to provide all statistical and analytical data collected at the national level, using modern web technologies, in a user-friendly form, a new look was developed and launched on the official website of the committee (stat.uz);
- Together with UNFPA, the site aholi.stat.uz was created and launched to cover events on the population census;
- The gender.stat.uz website was developed and launched, containing the minimum gender indicators recommended by the UN Statistical Commission;
- In order to monitor the implementation of national sustainable development goals (SDGs), with the support of the United Nations Development Program, the website of the National SDGs nsdg.stat.uz was developed and launched;
- The website lib.stat.uz was launched, which allows you to get acquainted with a systematic list of methodological provisions and instructions of the State Statistics Committee, procedures for conducting and organizing statistical observations.

As a result of this work, it became possible to provide users with statistical data in a visualized form, as well as update and publish online 10 types of important indicators of the socio-economic situation in the republic, save time searching for statistical and analytical information, 2 times reduced the time spent on providing data upon request.

Implemented electronic interactive services:
- an interactive service was introduced for convenient obtaining by users of data from the state register of enterprises and organizations based on ICT technologies;
- a personal account of entrepreneurs was developed and put into practice with the introduction of interactive consultations on filling out statistical reporting forms and checking the correctness of filling in statistical forms;
- an interactive service for electronic orders and online purchases of statistical publications was launched;
- an electronic interactive service was launched that allows users to calculate the levels of change in the general consumer price index for any period.

It also became possible to obtain complete information about enterprises and organizations (name of the enterprise, TIN, EGRPO, OKED, etc.), the list of necessary statistical reporting and the status of statistical reporting provided, as well as reducing the time spent by customers on concluding contracts for statistical publications, from 1 hour to 1 minute, and the cost of transportation and paper consumption is saved by 2 times.

As a result, the creation of such opportunities for those submitting state statistical reports, a wide range of users of statistical information leads to the fact that the committee's activities occupy high positions in a number of ratings and indices. It is worth noting that the official website of the State Statistics Committee (stat.uz) according to the Open Data Institute (ODI) assessment system in London has reached the highest level - “Platinum” (PLATINUM). The indicators of our country are also growing in an important rating according to the international assessment of the activities of the statistical bodies of countries, that is, in the “Statistical Capacity Index” of the World Bank. At the end of 2020, our country took 61st place in the ranking, scoring 67.8 points out of 100 possible in the World Bank's Statistical Capacity Index. As a result, compared to the 2016 report, it rose by 62 positions, and compared to the 2019 report, by 16 positions.
