The number of resident population in the Republic of Uzbekistan as of January 1, 2022 amounted to 35,271.3 thousand people, having increased by 712.4 thousand people or 2.1% compared to the previous year.
Accordingly, the number of women increased by 346.6 thousand people, or 2.0%, and men by 365.7 thousand people, or 2.1%.
According to the United Nations Population Fund, as of January 1, 2021, the total population of the Earth was 7,875 million people.
The Republic of Uzbekistan ranks 43rd among countries in terms of population.
