On February 2 of this year, an expanded meeting of the Collegium of the State Committee on Statistics was held following the results of the fourth quarter of 2021. It was attended by the leadership of the State Committee on Statistics, the leadership of the Institute for Staff Advanced Training and Statistical Research, heads of sectoral and territorial statistical departments, as well as employees of territorial statistical departments via remote video communication.
According to the agenda, the chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich, opening the meeting of the Board, spoke about the tasks assigned to the state statistics bodies in the documents and instructions of the President and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as about the effectiveness of the work carried out in the system in the fourth quarter of 2021.
Also at the meeting, in accordance with the agenda, on the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to further improve and develop the national system of statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan” dated August 3, 2020 and the “National Strategy for the Development of Statistics for 2020–2025”, information was provided on tasks assigned to state statistical bodies, as well as changes and concepts introduced into practice in accordance with the law "On Official Statistics".
At an organized online meeting, instructions were given on the work carried out within the framework of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated November 11, 2020 No. 710 “On measures to prepare and conduct a population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023”, priority tasks for ensuring the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On census”.
Also, at the expanded meeting of the Collegium of the State Committee on Statistics, information was provided on the ongoing work to combat corruption in the system.
As a result of the Board meeting, organizational issues and executive discipline were considered. It was also decided to take appropriate measures in relation to employees who did not fulfill their duties in a timely manner and to encourage employees whose work is roughly adjusted.
