At the end of 2021, the volume of GRP of Samarkand region amounted to 53,749.9 billion soums and, compared to 2020, increased by 8.8%. In this region, positive growth rates were noted in the sectors of agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 104.6% (share in the GRP structure - 44.9%), industry - 110.8% (14.8%), construction - 115.2 % (6.0%) and services - 112.5% (34.3%). GRP per capita increased by 6.7% and amounted to 13,472.8 thousand soums.
