As of January 1, 2022, in all categories of farms in the Samarkand region, the total number of cattle amounted to 1,659.9 thousand heads (103.7% compared to January 1, 2021), of which 724.1 thousand heads are cows (103.2%), sheep and goats - 2,545.5 thousand heads (102.3%), horses - 28.2 thousand heads (103.6%) and birds - 13,548.4 thousand heads (102.5%).
