According to sample surveys of households of the State Committee on Statistics, as of January-December 2021, the structure of households in the Surkhandarya region in terms of the number of its members is: 0.5% of households consisting of one person, 3.7% of households consisting of two people, 7.6% of households have three people, 16.1% of households have four people, 27.5% of households have five people, and 44.6% of households have six or more people.
