At the end of 2021, the gross value added (GVA) in industry in the Surkhandarya region amounted to 2,186.4 billion soums and, compared to 2020, increased by 11.4%. In the period under review, the share of this sector in GRP amounted to 7.4% and, compared to 2017, increased by 1.3 percentage points.
