Head of State Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a videoconference to discuss measures to provide the population with housing and expand green areas.
As part of the implementation of the nationwide project “Green Space”, tasks have been set for planting 200 million seedlings of trees and shrubs per year throughout the country.
It was emphasized that it is thanks to this that it is planned to increase the area of green areas in cities from the current 8 to 30 percent, which should make a single contribution to this large-scale project.
In order to ensure the execution of these instructions, the State Committee on Statistics organizes practical work within the framework of the “Green Space” national project.
In particular, the team of the State Committee on Statistics to citizens who expressed a desire to plant seedlings on the streets and in the courtyards of the mahallas “Yangi Turmush”, “Binokor”, “Jaloyir”, “Humo”, “Toshkent”, “Olchazor” and “Khushnud” in the Yangikhayat district of Tashkent, seedlings of fruit trees were issued.
An agreement was also reached with representatives of the district khokimiyat and mahalla on monitoring the care and irrigation of these plantations.
