According to the results for January-March 2022, the share of industry in the GDP of the Republic of Uzbekistan amounted to 32.5%.In the period under review, the share of mining and quarrying in the value added structure of the industrial sector increased to 17.4% against 16.6% in January-March 2021. There was a decrease in the share of the manufacturing industry to 74.0% (in January-March 2021 - 74.2%).In the structure of the value added of the manufacturing industry, the largest share fell on the metallurgical and metalworking industries (except for machinery and equipment), which reached 43.2%. The share of production of textiles, clothing, leather goods and related products amounted to 14.7%, food, beverages and tobacco products - 11.8%.
