On April 27 of this year, an expanded meeting of the Collegium of the State Statistics Committee was held at the State Statistics Committee following the results of the first quarter of 2021. It was attended by the leadership of the State Committee on Statistics, the leadership of the Institute for Advanced Training and Statistical Research, heads of sectoral and territorial Departments of Statistics, as well as employees of the territorial Departments of Statistics via remote video communication.

According to the agenda, the chairman of the State Committee on Statistics Begalov Bakhodir Abdusalomovich, opening the meeting of the Board, spoke about the tasks assigned to the state statistics bodies in the documents and instructions of the President and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the effectiveness of the work carried out in the system in the first quarter of 2022.

Also at the meeting, in accordance with the agenda, on the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to further improve and develop the national system of statistics of the Republic of Uzbekistan” dated August 3, 2020 and the “National Strategy for the Development of Statistics for 2020–2025”, information was provided on tasks assigned to the bodies of state statistics.

 At an organized online meeting, instructions were given on the work carried out within the framework of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated November 11, 2020 No. 710 “On measures to prepare and conduct a population census in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023”, priority tasks for ensuring the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On census."

At an expanded meeting of the Board, the “Openness Index” was discussed, prepared by a working group under the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, monitoring of the activities of all state authorities and administration throughout the republic was carried out.

It was noted that, in the "index of openness" of the activities of state bodies in 2021, the indicators of the State Statistics Committee were rated at a high level - 88.9 points and ranked third among ministries and departments, and instructions were given to achieve a higher result in this index.

Also, at the expanded meeting of the Collegium of the State Committee on Statistics, information was provided on the ongoing work to combat corruption in the system.

Following the meeting of the Board, organizational issues and executive discipline were considered. It was also decided to take appropriate measures in relation to employees who did not fulfill their duties in a timely manner and to encourage employees whose work is roughly adjusted.
